Building HOT MESS felt like finally bringing together the missing pieces of my life. This brand is my firstborn, it has taught me so much, and it still does, every single day.

The Story Behind the Name

The biggest challenge I faced along the way was my scattered mind and chaotic working style. And that, became the inspiration behind our name.

Climbing a Steep, Thorny Mountain

Building HOT MESS often feels like climbing a steep, thorny mountain. The road is hard and has countless details, endless nuances, so much to think about and look after.

They say do what you love and yes, but it won't always feel that way. There will be moments of uncertainty, of feeling stuck, of feeling like you can't keep up with anything  moments where you'll ask yourself, "why did I choose this path?"

But the view is breathtaking.

What Keeps Me Going

Even on the mornings I wake up with anxiety, even when I talk my friends' ears off about work, even when I'm too exhausted to look up at the scenery on my way somewhere , my motivation has always come from finding joy in living.

A small coffee break. A phone call with a loved one. A short solo trip. Curling up with my cat and getting lost in daydreams. These are the things that keep me on this path.

I don't think I could have kept going this long without that joy.

The Source of Inspiration

I think I've learned to reward myself. The designers who inspire me, the excitement of imagining what I could create ,that is the greatest inspiration behind everything I make.

What It Means to Wear HOT MESS

I want everyone who wears HOT MESS to honor their body. Seize the day, to live each day as a beautiful moment, to make beautiful memories with the people you love.

To pause, just for a few hours with all the responsibilities, the anxieties, the never-ending to-do lists. And despite everything, the financial pressures, the long working hours, the political noise, the weight of the world,

to wear something that makes you feel at ease, that expresses who you are, that reminds you just how special and beautiful you are.

I want to be there for the moments you'll look back on and say, "I'm so glad I had that day."

The most beautiful part is receiving photos from people wearing Hot Mess and experiencing life in their pieces.

Our bodies don't deserve to be put on hold with "not yet" or "when I'm better." They deserve to be seen and celebrated right now, exactly as they are.
