How to Care for Your HOT MESS?
Share
Wash with Intention
Cold water is your best friend. Always.
Hand wash when you can. Fill a basin with cold water, add a small amount of gentle detergent, and let the piece soak for a few minutes. A gentle swish and a careful rinse should be more than enough.
Machine wash only on the lowest spin cycle, cold water setting.

Dry Flat, Always
After washing, never hang your HOT MESS piece to dry. Gravity will pull the fibres downward and distort the shape.
Instead, gently press out excess water with a clean towel (don't twist or wring), then lay the piece flat on a dry surface and reshape it by hand.
Let it air dry naturally, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

No Iron, No Dry Cleaning
Direct heat (whether from an iron or a dryer) causes irreversible stretching and fibre damage. If your piece needs a little reshaping, the flat-dry method above is all you need.

Mind Your Accessories
Knitted pieces have a fragile structure that can catch on sharp edges. Long nails, belt buckles, rough jewellery, and bag clasps are the usual suspects.
Before putting on your piece, take a moment. Smooth down any sharp edges, be mindful of rings and bracelets, and slide the knit on carefully.

Store it Right
When you're not wearing it, fold your HOT MESS piece gently and store it flat
Hanging stretches the shoulders and distorts the shape over time. A drawer or a shelf works perfectly.
Why This All Matters
Every HOT MESS piece is handmade, slow-produced, designed to last for years, not seasons. The capsule wardrobe philosophy isn't just about what you buy. It's about how you care for what you already have.
